Mission
GPS Roles and Responsibilities
- Conducts research and develops applications of GPS technology in support of USDA agency missions and activities.
- Integrates GPS with cartography, remote sensing, and geographic information systems as a function of the Geospatial Line of Business.
- Promotes the use of GPS for precision agriculture, sustaining natural resources, fire protection and suppression, and supporting implementation of the Farm Bill.
